Day Visitors

Spend all day in Rwanda’s largest remaining tract of forest, cycling, walking, trekking or sipping a coffee.

Experience Nyungwe

The visitor centres dotted through the park make it easy and enjoyable for day visitors to take in a little of what Nyungwe has to offer. The centres are open from 7am to 5pm and are situated along the main road.

The cafés at Uwinka, Gisakura and Gisovu offer food for purchase for day visitors as well as those staying at the campsites or guesthouses. Otherwise, visitors can buy food from the various markets outside the park.

The Cyamudongo Community Centre has a coffee shop catering to those tracking chimpanzees before or after the experience.
