Uwinka Campsites and Guesthouse
Situated at the park entrance, Uwinka Campsites and Uwinka Guesthouse are perfectly placed from which to take your Nyungwe adventure further.
Welcome to Uwinka
Both the Uwinka Centre and its campsite are set on platforms high amongst the trees so that you are truly in the green, leafy canopy of this ancient forest. Meanwhile, Uwinka Guesthouse, perfect for families, is situated nearby in an open clearing. In this area, a variety of bird and primate species can be seen around the campsite and guesthouse.
Uwinka Campsites
There are two secluded sections of campsites on raised platforms, complete with pleasant gazebos, parking and campfire, 50 metres away from the main road. One campsite consists of three tents and lies near the visitor centre while the second 12-tent section is located 200 metres away deep in the forest with views over the tree canopy and Lake Kivu.
